Well, I have all the episodes (VOST, uncensored of course), all the TV movies, the 32 mangas ... I can speak as a fan and admit that I really laughed at this movie. Of course Ryo Saeba / Nicky Larson beyond his grotesque expressions, his heavy jokes and his perverse attitude and a very dark character. It has an undeniable shadow, a childhood blackened by the death of two parents and an education practiced by guerrillas who did not comfort at night with pretty stories and ice cream. This forged a superhuman man, able to knock out 20 guys, shoot 6 bullets in the same target and get out of a burning building without the slightest scratch. In the manga this aspect of him stood out when the past resurfaced, through the knowledge of his life pre-meeting pre-association with his Kaori ... But for that, it would have taken well more than 1 hour and a half of film and P. Lacheau depicts in this film his personality that wants to create the work that makes you laugh. It would take sequels, by and large. to develop all the splendor of this black and complex character. This aside, my nostalgia has been pushed very far, there are so many references in this film, even Vincent Ropion made an appearance, I found very broad aspects / references of the anime that rocked my childhood / teens, spotted a whole lot of fan service (the raven, XYZ, Kaori who is treated like a boy, the relationship Kaori / Ryo, the ball that touches the cheek of Ryo ...). We have a good time, in the end.
32 mangas ? Which collection is it ? I have the first and old one in 35 + 1. Officially it's 35 but they cut the last one in 2 parts in France. Is that a Deluxe version or something ?
I still need to see the movie but I will for sure.
The better version ^^^:-)
SOOO in the same time in Tokyo
The Japanese really know how to do things better

Sometimes, me too
Who wants a blow on the head?
So it's like one more chapter by book ?
I'm buying Cat's Eyes on the Deluxe Edition as well, the work is clearly good.

Yes, 8 chapters, and the last is "to be continued" and continues in the next volume

A little explanation about the raven that appears during the troublesome moments: it is that the Japanese find that the cry of the crow makes "aho" (like the cat that is "nyan"), and aho in Japanese, it seems to me that is something like "stupid / silly" or "morons".
