What we know about episode 8 of Season 11

Anne Simon, science consultant for the X-files, tweeted that the hard working cast and crew would be skipping the U.S.Thanksgiving to continue filming and that filming on episode 8 started on November 15.

Chris Carter said at the New Comic Con that this episode written by Morgan and Wong would be as "Messed up" as the notorious episode written by the dual "Home." We know very little else about this episode. The cast list on IMDb includes only Anderson, Duchovny, and Aidan Kahn as Agent Colquitt. Aidan Kahn is a California native who currently resides in Vancouver. He is the son of television producer Harvey Kahn and the nephew of folk singer, Judy Collins.

No Thanksgiving holiday for hard working #XFiles crew and cast up in Canada. Episode 8 starts filming today! Just a month and a half until the premiere! So many scenes in episode 1 I can’t wait to see in final form. A great episode!— Anne Simon (@Annealiz1) November 16, 2017

The Literary Title of David Duchovny's New Album

David Duchovny is expected to release his second album sometime in December. The Album is titled after one of Duchovny's songs "Every Third Thought." As you can see from some of the lyrics, the song is about love.

“Every thought on what was once green and new
All these thoughts like colors fade to blue
Every second thought feels borrowed and untrue
Every third thought on you
Every third thought on you
Every third thought on you”

It should not surprise anyone that Duchovny, who has a Master's degree in literature from Yale, received inspiration for the title from William Shakespeare. However, Shakespeare's every third thought was on death.
The play is the Tempest. The character is Prospero who in a speech renouncing magc says "Every Third Thought shall be my grave."

Duchovny performed tracks from his first and second album on October 14, 2017 at a Vancouver concert. He is currently filming the 11th season of the X-Files in Vancouver. He has concerts dates scheduled in Australia and New Zealand in early 2018.

SPOILER: Season 11 Character/Actor Appearances

How big of a part of The X-Files will Agents Miller and Einstein play in Season 11? How about our beloved Skinner? While we can't know all the answers yet, IMDb provides some clues based on the listing of the cast and crew by episode. So far it is listing some information on the first 6 episodes.

Episode 1 appears to be a who's who of familiar faces. David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson are in every episode, but also in episode one is Lauren Ambrose as Einstein, Robbie Amell as Miller, William B. Davis as the cigarette smoking man, Annabeth Gish as Monica Reyes. Chris Owens as Jeffrey Spender, and Mitch Pileggi as Walter Skinner. They are joined by Barbara Hershey.

In the next five episodes, IMDb lists from the first episode only Duchovny, Anderson and Pileggi returning. Pileggi is listed as being in four out of the six first episodes of season 11. Episode 2 is notable for Dean Haglund returning as Langly of the Lone Gunmen. Episode five features three characters with the last name of Van de Kamp played by Robyn Bradley (Mrs. Van de Kamp), Chanelle Peloso (Emily) and Miles Robbins (Jackson).

Will the Cigarette Mmoking Man return for the last four episodes?

The truth is out there. Stay here for updates as more is known.

Gillian Anderson in Crooked House

While X-Files fans are excited about the recently released X-Files trailer, fans of Gillian Anderson's other work are also excited to see her next year in the "Crooked House" movie, inspired by the Agatha Christie novel and starring Glen Close.

Agatha Christie is known for writing strong female characters and Gillian Anderson is, of course, known for her portrayal of such characters. She will play Magda West, an actress who enjoys being the center of attention. Fans of Downton Abbey will notice Julian Fellowes with screenwriter credit.

Here is the movie trailer:

David Duchovny's dog gains social media fame

David Duchovny's dog, Brick Duchovny, has become a social media celebrity. His Twitter account alone has over 10,000 followers. (For those who want to follow, here is the link to Brick's account: @brick_duchovny).
Brick Duchovny is named after football player D'Brickashaw Ferguson. David Duchovny stated at a recent comic con in New York that the fame might have gone to Brick's head as he will now jump into the front of the vehicle instead of the back. Certainly fans were even excited to see him while waiting in line for the October 14 concert in Vancouver.

Lots of fun meeting all of my fans in Vancouver! Woof 🐶👽 pic.twitter.com/nQ641DZhUI— Brick Duchovny (@brick_duchovny) October 20, 2017
Brick even hinted that he might have a director's credit on season 11 of the X-files.

It was awesome to meet so many fans at the @davidduchovny concert this weekend! Time to get back to work Directing @thexfiles! #action 🐶👽 pic.twitter.com/SHb8ftBpKP— Brick Duchovny (@brick_duchovny) October 17, 2017
Long time fans of the X-Files might remember David's dog Blue (named after Bob Dylan's "Tangled Up in Blue") as a behind the scenes regular during the 1990's.

Will Brick Duchovny make a guest appearance on Season 11 of The X-files? We still don't know at this point, but David Duchovny is accustomed to co-starring with a canine companion. On "Red Shoes Diaries" there were often scenes where Duchovny's character, Jake, was joined by Jake's dog, Stella.

Unsaid, Undone

Many fans are eagerly awaiting David Duchovny's second album scheduled to be released in December 2017. X-Files fans who are unfamiliar with the actor's musical endeavors may be hearing a punk band cover one of his songs in the upcoming season 11.

In an interview with Niki Reitmayer on October 14 (prior to his concert that night in Vancouver), Duchovny revealed that Chris Carter had surprised him with the decision to include "Unsaid, Undone" off of his first album, "Hell or Highwater" during a teaser sequence.

Duchovny found out about this through his lawyer who notified him that Chris Carter was seeking copyright access to the song. Duchovny said he texted Carter saying "he was totally touched and thank you." Duchovny further said he understood why Carter would not want Duchovny (Mulder's) voice singing the song.

Following the interview, David performed the song in his Vancouver concert. Referencing the fact that he was performing an acoustic version of one of his hardest rock songs, he introduced the song by saying they had "castrated" it.

Fans interested in hearing the same version can listen to it here:

The original version is available at DavidDuchovnymusic.com

David Duchovny second album is titled "Every Third Thought" and can be pre-ordered at PledgeMusic.com.
