Drake released his fifth album on June 29. Titled Scorpion, the massive 25 tracks album already reached a billion streams in its first week. It also broke the record of US streams, reaching 745.92 million streams in its first week nationwide.

Obviously, the album is number one on Apple Music, Amazon Music and Spotify.

47th Anniversary of Jim Morrison's Death
2018-07-03 12:55:09 ET by Jack Anderson

Today marks the 47th anniversary of the death of American singer and poet Jim Morrison. Lead member of the Californian rock band The Doors, Morrison was found death in a bathtub in Paris at the age of 27 - the same age as Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and The Rolling Stones' Brian Jones.

In order to celebrate his memory and work, we have added all the main studio albums from The Doors:
- The Doors
- Strange Days
- Waiting for the Sun
- The Soft Parade
- Morrison Hotel
- L.A. Woman

Finally, instead of ending the article on a well-known hit song, we will leave you with this record of his poetry. During the years of 1969 and 1970, Morrison recorded some of his poetry. Years after his death, his friends from The Doors decided to compose and play music onto his words. One of these tracks is The Severed Garden, on the famous Albinoni's Adagio in G Minor.

Wow, I’m sick of doubt
Live in the light of certain
South's cruel bindings
The servants have the power
Dog-men and their mean women
Pulling poor blankets over
Our sailors

I’m sick of dour faces
Staring at me from the TV tower
I want roses in my garden bower, dig?
Royal babies, rubies
Must now replace aborted
Strangers in the mud
These mutants, blood-meal
For the plant that’s plowed

They are waiting to take us into
The severed garden
Do you know how pale and wanton/thrillful
Comes death on a strange hour?
Unannounced, unplanned for
Like a scaring over-friendly guest you’ve
Brought to bed
Death makes angels of us all
And gives us wings
Where we had shoulders
Smooth as raven’s claws

No more money, no more fancy dress
This other kingdom seems by far the best
Until it’s other jaw reveals incest
And loose obedience to a vegetable law

I will not go
Prefer a feast of friends
To the giant family
