Dark Phoenix Director Takes the Blame for Box-Office Failure
June 15, 2019 by Claire Cooper
Dark Phoenix, the latest installment of the X-Men franchise, has unfortunately tanked at the box-office, making only a mere $33 million nationwide last week-end.
Following the box-office abysmal results, movie writer and director Simon Kinberg has taken the full responsibility of the failure.
"It clearly is a movie that didn’t connect with audiences that didn't see it, it didn't connect enough with audiences that did see it. So that's on me."
Days after the release of Dark Phoenix, many fans are utterly disappointed by the final chapter in the saga, saying that the film did not learn from the mistakes of The Last Stand.
