A writer gets caught up in a murder investigation involving his mentor, an esteemed American author.
I waited eight years to finally see the adaptation of the great eponymous book La Vérité sur l'Affaire Harry Quebert. I expected it could easily make a bad movie. In this case, it's a bad series. But it's very, very bad.
The first thing that struck to mind is how bad the casting was. The actor playing Marcus Goldman is bad. I mean, really, really bad. Horrible. It is lightyears from the Marcus Goldman from the book.
And what about Harry Quebert? Choosing Patrick Dempsey felt totally out of place to me and it shows. He is not Harry Quebert. Far from it.
I give it 2 out of 10. Very bad.
