Ross: You know what the scariest part is? What if there's only one woman for everybody, you know? I mean, what if you get one woman, and that's it? Unfortunately, in my case, it was only one woman for her.
Joey: What are you talking about? One woman? That's like saying there's only one flavor of ice cream for you. Let me tell you something, Ross. There's lots of flavors out there. There's Rocky Road, and Cookie Dough, and Bing. Cherry Vanilla. You could get them with jimmies, or nuts, or whipped cream. This is the best thing that ever happened to you. You got married, you were, what, eight? Welcome back to the world. Grab a spoon.
Ross: I honestly don't know if I'm hungry or horny.
Chandler: Stay out of my freezer.
Ross: Grab a spoon. Do you know how long it's been since I grabbed a spoon? Do the words "Billy, don't be a hero" mean anything to you?
Ross: You know, you probably didn't know this, but back in high school, I had a major crush on you.
Rachel: I knew.
Ross: You did. Oh... I always figured you just thought I was Monica's geeky older brother.
Rachel: I did.
I just grabbed a spoon.
The One With the Friends You Wished You Had

THE FRIENDS YOU WISHED YOU HAD
Friends started in the mid-90’s and became the sitcom of an entire generation. The actors became superstars, although only one was able to move past the show (Jennifer Aniston).
Joey, by his look as well as some of his lines, looks like he could be the seducer of the gang. Will that be cliché or actually funny? You’ll have to watch the next episodes to know about it.
Chandler is just seen as a funny guy with mummy issues.
I really liked the Monica character in this pilot episode. The episode is actually based solely on Ross’ divorce, Rachel leaving her fiancé at the altar and Monica having a relationship with Paul the wine guy.
When watching this episode, we can only think that it wasn’t exactly sure if Phoebe would actually be a complete member of the cast. She basically only tells a couple of bad jokes showing that she is odd. Once again, will she be the cliché crazy character or will we go beyond that?
Ross is a very interesting character and is, with Rachel, simply the best introduction of any character in the opening episode. The reason he’s so great is that he has a both very fun and sad backstory, with his wife divorcing for... another woman. Further, he's got a very interesting vulnerability.
Rachel is also a joy and it’s no wonder that Jennifer Aniston became the icon of the 90’s.
ROSS & RACHEL
But did you know that Friends had actually not six but seven characters? I’m talking of course about Ross & Rachel!
— WARNING! SPOILERS AHEAD! —
While Ross & Rachel were only together for a short time, it was one of the main drivers of the show. And we can clearly see the inception of the famous couple in this pilot episode.
The editing of that pilot episode is particularly bad. You can see very bad cuts, with characters suddenly being in different positions and I have rarely seen such a bad editing in Hollywood, well except in an Ed Wood movie of course!
I give it 7 out of 10. An excellent pilot episode.
