I was deeply upset with Johnny Hallyday's death. I still remember that day very well. It really took me by surprise, as I had not expected that I would be so sad about an artist's passing, that I had never talked to or met, except seeing at a concert.
From that moment, when I knew that his final album would be released, I kept looking for news about it. And it took almost a year.
One year later, I was finally able to listen to this new and final album.
I religiously prepared my day and started to play the first song. The first thing that struck me instantly was that Johnny was back. Johnny Hallyday was back from the dead. That voice. That unforgettable voice started to sing this first and outstanding song, "J'en parlerai au diable." What a song.
The second song, "Mon pays c'est l'amour" was just pure fun! Great rockabilly, as if Johnny was 18 again and singing his love of life once again.
The album is then having some lowest moments, but still, I deeply like it. This is truly the ultimate gift for any fan of Johnny.
Johnny will live as long as rock'n'roll lives!
A great and fun gift for any fan of Johnny. I give it 8 out of 10.
