Johnny is not even dead since two years that we already have a second posthumous album. After the excellent (and real) album "Mon Pays C'est L'Amour", we now get a different kind of album. His classical composer Yvan Cassar took 13 songs sang by Johnny. The result? Well, for someone like me, who have heard all the albums from Johnny, I can recognize most of the versions and I can say I feel really sad.
Basically, a big portion of the album is simply taken from the Stade de France 1998 live concert. Everything is less interesting than the original performances. We can clearly hear that Johnny's voice is taken and split into countless parts. There is no vibration. It's like "go", "stop", "we add a few seconds of orchestral music", "go again!".
This album is a real let down. I would have much preferred true remixes, even electronic remixes, than these versions that seem manufactured especially for Christmas. How about adding Santa Claus's clothes to Johnny and putting it on the cover of the album?
A totally worthless attempt. The only attempt is not artistic but financial. I give it 2 out of 10. Very bad.
